The series screenings and talks with their creators are open to everyone, and give the audience a behind the scenes access to the creation of series. The professional in attendance get a head start by discovering projects still being shot or that are in the writing process. The key words for the selection are quality, diversity and originality!

Marion and Salomé decide to have a child. It's not an easy decision. On one side ther’s Marion who knows she wants to be a mother, on the other Salomé still doubts herself and her ability to be a mother. With humour, they'll have to face social constructs, their friends and family, and the reality of pregnancy and constructing a homoparental family. The couple goes through highs and lows, inevitable conflicts that feed their desire to have a child together... or question it.

2019. Jérémy is 32. He lives in Paris. Alone, refusing to belong to the times in which he lives. One night, Jérémy discovers a club, the Wonderland, where guests sing and dance in an old-fashioned rock-and-roll style. Jérémy gives it a chance and becomes a barman. Instead, he falls in love with a woman in a photograph taken in Biarritz in 1960. Inexplicably, this club acts as a portal for Jérémy, a gateway between Paris in 2019 and Biarritz in the 1960s.
Romance is the story of an encounter which shouldn’t have taken place; an amorous, passionate encounter that will turn destinies on their heads and change lives.
A trip through time that is both terrifying and amazing.

Une Belle Histoire tells the story of the crossed, eventful and unpredictable paths of three couples. Three men and three women in search of what is considered happiness when you are young, and balance when you are less so. What must be sacrificed to make a successful marriage? This is the question that is constantly raised, with the light-heartedness of a dramedy, by Une Belle Histoire. In this series, the conjugal path is full of pitfalls, good and bad surprises, misunderstandings that lead to comedy, accidents that lead to tragedies, with friendship as a security blanket.

In the Pipeline: The Trial of Christine Keeler

Written by BAFTA award-winning novelist and screenwriter Amanda Coe (Apple Tree Yard, Room at the Top, Life in Squares) and directed by Andrea Harkin (Come Home, Clique), The Trial of Christine Keeler takes a fresh look at one of the most infamous British stories: the chain of events in the 1960s that came to be known as the ‘Profumo affair’.

At the centre of the storm was 19-year-old Christine Keeler (Sophie Cookson) - a young woman whom the powerful, male-dominated establishment sought to silence and exploit, but who refused to play by their rules. The Trial of Christine Keeler takes us behind the headlines to tell a human story about the sexual and cultural politics of one of the most revealing and iconic stories of modern times.

And the next generation…?

Has the success of international platforms definitively caused a separation between 12-25 year olds and the traditional channels, or is this simply an opportunity for the latter to reinvent both their position and role towards millennials? How can we get closer to younger generations, their habits and perceptions? Broadcasters and creators will share their vision and their experiments in the matter. This discussion will highlight several recent initiatives and concrete examples, from genre series to ultra-realism.

Producers Fleur Winters (Lemming Film, Netherlands) and Filip Hammarström (Palladium Fiction, Sweden) who both have new series aimed at a young audience – respectively Heirs of the Night and Dream -, will be sharing their vision as well as their trials and errors. International coproduction, Heirs of the Night follows the adventures of young 19th century vampires. Dream, a contemporary take on science-fiction, tells the story of teenagers that, with the help of a radioactive rock, are able to see into the future, and even potentially change it.  Are genre series the future of youth drama ?

Holy Mary! (Miraklu) intertwines dark humour and drama perfectly to tell the story, set in a small town, of an ex-convict and single father of five as he struggles to put food on the table and pay the bills. Playing on popular superstition and small town religious fervour, his ten year old twins create a ‘miracle’, claiming they are being visited by none other than the Holy Mary herself.

The corpse of a young girl appears floating in the bay of Malaga. It's Noelia, the only daughter of an important local businessman. At the same time, on the other side of the city, the truce breaks between two hashish mafia gangs: someone has introduced a new product, a strange pollen that comes in golden ingots. "El Oro", as they call it, threatens to burst the market and trigger a war. Dario, a corrupt policeman who knows the street thoroughly, and Blanca, an elite agent recently arrived from Madrid, are forced to work together in both cases.

Eighteen months ago, management for the drama section of the public Danish broadcaster was profoundly shaken up. How, amidst team changes and budget cuts, did the team led by Christian Rank renew and position itself? The entire team is coming to Fontainebleau and will share their vision of Danish and European drama and where they position themselves. They’ll detail their strategy, the way they work with creators, in both tradition and online platforms, and their way of relating to all audiences. They will also unveil three new series, with the creators in attendance: When the Dust Settles, Deliver Us and A Family Matter. It’s an insight behind the scenes of a channel that has been a driving force of the resurgence and recognition of European drama with series like Borgen and The Killing, as well as a glimpse into a promising future.

Money cannot remove guilt. Money cannot erase memories. Money cannot change the past. Money cannot replace love. A struggling working-class father accepts a substantial pay-off from a renowned
filmmaker to keep silent about the molestation of his youngest son. The father felt this would enable his family to heal and move on – he was so wrong. Dark Money sees a guilt-ridden dad decide to accept ‘hush money’ rather than drag his family through publicity hell by pressing charges against a celebrity. The series is told from the point of view of the family. We follow their journey, from accepting the money and starting a new life – to the family splintering and the father seeking vengeance for his son.
